The three rates

Which rate applies to your Robux

Roblox has run three DevEx rates in recent history, and which one applies depends on when the Robux was earned and who’s cashing it out.

Legacy rate — Robux earned before Sept 5, 2025$0.0035 / R$
Standard rate — Robux earned from Sept 5, 2025 onward$0.0038 / R$
US 18+ rate — qualifying spend, effective June 8, 2026$0.0054 / R$

Roblox’s system cashes out legacy-rate Robux first, before applying the standard or 18+ rate to the remainder. Confirm your own account’s eligibility and current rate on Roblox’s official DevEx help page.

Eligibility, in short

You need at least 30,000 Earned Robux, a verified email, an account in good standing, and to be 13 or older. Purchased, gifted, and Premium-stipend Robux don’t count toward DevEx.

Selling an item instead?

DevEx and the marketplace fee are two different numbers. If you’re pricing an item to sell, use the Robux tax calculator instead — it applies the 30% marketplace fee, not the DevEx cash-out rate.
